Earthstone Project is a duo of designers (Damian Jodorowsky and Timoté Rouffignac) from Brussels, united around the desire to design and produce raw earth objects for interiors. The Earthstone story is built around a material, unique to this project, that combines the recyclability of raw earth with the durability of stone. Following on from the idea of making the most of the earth that is widely available on excavation sites for urban construction, they explore the imaginary world of nature by creating forms that oscillate between the mineral and the organic. Earthstone blends techniques borrowed from modern industrial production processes with the artisan skills of working with raw earth. They connect these notions for the benefit of ecological and circular design.
