Barthélémy Cabry

"My artistic practice combines several mediums such as: drawing, sculpture, comics, sewing, editing, digital retouching, collage... With a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Villa Arson (Nice), and an Agrégation in Fine Art from the Erg (Brussels), my research has gradually converged on the field of games, "architecture without matter" as Stefan Zweig nicely put it in his novel: The Chess Player. The game, a "passionate wandering" that was often decried as derisory and futile, is now proving to be, in the age of world-famous sporting competitions and the explosion of the online videogame market, a model of counter-society that is increasingly interwoven with our everyday lives."
