With a master's degree in painting from La Cambre, Alexane Sanchez questions the relationship to otherness, to all that is not the Self, to the living and the non-living. Through painting, sculpture and performance, she weaves a network of metaphors, attempting to express the gaps and tensions between this Self and others. It is in metamorphosis that Alexane seeks an answer. Metamorphosis merges appearances. According to the artist, we are always linked to our alter, to their body: we are born of the other.
