Pierre Émile Gérard

My artistic practice lies at the intersection of digital arts and sculpture, and explores our relationship with consumer objects. On one hand, it aims to reclaim, on an individual level, the industrial methods used to produce these objects. On the other, it seeks to explore their semantic and poetic potential by incorporating them into assemblage sculptures that blend distinct worlds. These hybridizations give rise to fictional new consumer objects, whose potential functions and modes of use are left open to the viewer’s interpretation.
