Gabrielle Mogenet

@gabrielle_mogenet began her career by studying textile design at Ensad (2017-2019). This first part of her studies enabled her to acquire a taste for experimentation and to explore textiles as an autonomous means of expression. It was during this course in textiles that synesthesia and musical notation began to appear in her work. In 2019, she leaves for an Erasmus program in Brussels, and joins the painting section at La Cambre. Painting enables her to experiment with large-scale musical transcription and its spatialization, conveyed by the desire to create 360° paintings. Throughout this exchange, questions arise about the notion of fantasy and mental images governed by the listening experience. A recent graduate in visual arts, Gabrielle now pursues her artistic practice as a painter and visual artist.
