Blackwool is a project to promote the wool industry on a local, artisanal scale, based on the principle of exchange, transmission and encounter. Founded in 2019 by Pauline Dornat after her master's degree in Textile Design at ENSAV La Cambre, BlackWool is a project that attempts to bring the unifying potential of this material back to the fore while trying to modernize the image it conveys. We're convinced that pooling resources, both material and intellectual, is the key to success. Through this material, BlackWool aims to create an intergenerational and multicultural space for co-creation. BlackWool is a large-scale project bringing together workshops, training and one-off creations, as well as a space for research and exchange around waste wool.
